Questions we get asked
- What does a website cost?
- Websites start at $499, and from there it depends on how many pages there are and how much of it is custom. We scope the work first and quote a fixed price in writing before anything starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.
- How long does it take?
- A straightforward brochure site is usually a few weeks. E-commerce and custom applications take longer. The honest answer is that the schedule usually depends on how quickly content and photos come back from you, not on the build.
- Do I own the site when it's finished?
- Yes. The site, the domain, and the content are yours. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, we help you migrate rather than making it difficult.
- Can I update the content myself?
- By default we handle updates for you – send the change and we make it, usually the same day. If editing it yourself matters, say so before we start: building on a content management system is a different job, and it is much cheaper decided up front than retrofitted later.
- Do you host it too?
- We can. Hosting on Australian servers, the domain, and the site itself from one provider means one place to call when something breaks. You are welcome to host elsewhere if you prefer.
- Will it show up on Google?
- The build gives you the foundation: semantic HTML, fast load times, proper metadata, and a sitemap. Ranking beyond that is ongoing work, and we will tell you plainly what it needs rather than promising a position we cannot control.
